On August 13, 2024, the Prime Minister officially issued Decision 13/2024/QD-TTg, updating the list of sectors and greenhouse gas emitting facilities that must conduct a GHG inventory. Compared to 2022, the number of emitting facilities increased by 254, bringing the total to 2,166 facilities, accounting for approximately 30% of the nation's total greenhouse gas emissions.
